As a solo dance artist, and creative director, Artin Avaznia is revolutionizing the way dance is perceived and consumed. As dance is most often relegated to the shadows, Artin has been advocating and leading a career that steps out of these shadows, proving that dancers can be headliners and fully autonomous artists within their own right.

UNDERGROUND PRIDE Underground Pride is an event series produced and headlined by Artin Avaznia. Created as a statement piece, this event is designed to highlight the impact of underground queer culture on the mainstream - particularly focusing on the impact of dance. Since it’s inception in 2024, Underground Pride has sold out all 3 shows across Toronto, Ontario and Montreal, Quebec as well as developing pivotal partnerships with Red Bull Canada, HVO Vodka and iconic venues such as Drake Underground and Turbo Haus. Underground Pride has been covered/featured by CBC News, CBC Radio, BlogTO, CultMTL, and more.
The First Solo Dance Artist in History to Perform at… In 2023, Artin became the first solo dance artist in history to perform at Pride Montreal, generating national coverage from CTV’s Etalk. Following in 2024, he became the first solo dance artist in history to perform at Pride Toronto, also returning in 2025 and gaining national coverage via The Canadian Press. In 2025, he became the first solo dance artist to headline @ The Drake Underground to a sold out crowd of 200.
Janet Jackson Posts About Artin Avaznia In 2022, Artin Avaznia gained the attention of Janet Jackson via social media posting his content across her channels on X, Instagram, and TikTok. Artin was able to translate a public social media shoutout into a press tour across Canada, receiving attention from CTV News, Rogers TV, Etalk, BlogTO, etc.
